guess who's bizzack... foxy brown.

TG-mofo'n-IF... the much anticipated wknd is herrre. gmb, gold poles, dtc.. all of that and more.

after years.. decades of futility, the rutgers football program finally seems to be headed in the right direction. after landing one of the best offensive lineman last year (anthony davis), RU lands a highly touted quarterback this time: Tom Savage. i have no idea who he is and he may end up playing like a piece of ish.. but its kinda cool to hear the words "one of the most heralded football recruits" and "rutgers" all in one sentence. even tho all knowledgeable sports fans understand the stars next to a high school prospect is meaningless since nobody has any idea how the athlete will actually pan out because they are so young and immature, its refreshing for rutgers to finally grab some of those prospects.
"Savage chose Rutgers over Georgia, Tennessee, Miami, Virginia, Pittsburgh, Michigan, Louisville, Florida State and Georgia."
http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2008/04/star_qb_savage_set_to_commit_t.html
jimmy downtown and i always spoke about there being no reason rutgers could be a verrry competitive sports school since it is the only major university in the nyc area. nyc is the capital of the world.. media and financial. there is so much potential publicity for athletes.. and there are so many good athletes in the northeast.
its good to see RU making strides in basketball and football. if RU hoops can land a few players from the big 3 hs's.. st anthony's, st pats, and st benedicts.. they'd be set. i dont see why those 3 hs's and RU can't use each other and develop a nice relationship. hopefully RU will be known for good academics and athletics.. and not just the greatest sandwich of all time, the fat cat. if u dunno, u betta ask somebody. fat sam w egg... mmmmmm.

pre- nup's. so sensitive to talk about. i think every couple should sign one before marriage. why? bc 6 of 10 couples that plan for weddings never thought divorce would happen to them.. but it does. i wish no one has to go thru a divorce.. but why not just sign one for the hell of it.. its like insurance.. or just in case ish happens, like chris rock says. hopefully none of my friends or family will endure a divorce.. but u know what, sometimes people change and sometimes human nature/temptation can be a btch. so just in case things dont pan out the way they should.. the ending can be more clean cut and less work to deal with. if i ever get married, i will definitely bring it up and sign one.. even tho i am almost positive the girl will be wealthier than me. i would want the girl to feel a sense of security. i think it would give couples certain level of comfort knowing that if things dont work out.. then at least there will be an agreement waiting to help divide belongings.

the weather this week in the nyc metro area has been f'n amazing.. i guess this is the week of spring that we get annually now. great drinking weather.

i do not like this media propaganda about the u.s. undergoing a recession. well, maybe there is one in like kentucky and mississippi.. but all the talks of recession disgusts me. u know what recession is?.. its in africa and other 3rd world countries. the media sucks.

qb steve mcnair retired. he was arguably the toughest qb to ever play in the nfl. that dude was always playing hurt. he gots heart and love for playing, and has pride. couldnt find any youtube clips of him at alcorn state.. but he was an absolute beast in college. i think he's got enough on his resume to be a hof'er.

2am closing time laws are about to be passed for new liquor licenses in nyc. that is just gaaay. the thing that separates nyc from other major cities (except vegas) is the never ending nitelife. the nitelife community board is appealing the 2am closing time, so we'll see what haps.

mtv show rob & big is funny. last nite rob was in the search of a good clean girl, from the internet. rob claims he only attracts "dg's"... dirty girls. and when his search for a good clean girl was flawed, at the end of the show he said that he is "dgl"... dirty girl for life.

foxy brown is getting out of rikers today.. after 8 months for violating probation. thought u'd like to know. she went to prison for throwing her cell phone at a woman.

and the pope is in town. im glad the pope is here to bless us all, but at the same time i feel like the closed streets and traffic is going to cause a lot of headache at work. it would be so much better if the parade was in western nj or long island.. where less will be affected. im sure people will drive where ever to see the pope.

has there been a more wide open nba playoffs than this year in recent memory? i think every team in the playoffs has a chance to win or make a serious run.. yes, even the hawks and nuggest, the two #8 seeds. atlanta has been hot and how can u discount a team with melo and ai?
i can see utah being a contender.. and the lakers ready to be serious. the celts gotta get past the pistons. the wizards with agent 0 and caron may knock off lbj's cavs. the hornets seem a lil too inexperienced to make a real run, just like the magic and raptors.. and plus, the lack of an offensive low post player for NO will hurt them. playoff time is half court offense time. and for this reason.. the mavs and philly are doomed too.
its really tough to pick a finals this year.. but barring any injury, i think i will go with :
phoenix vs boston... phoenix in 5.
nash, grant hill, defensive stopper raja bell, shaq, amare at the 4, diaw off the bench, and leandro a starter on any other team.. thats too much talent and depth and maturity. the suns finally understand that the run n gun offense is cool for regular season.. but the grind it out and control the glass game wins in the playoffs.
boston is solid.. and all u need is a big 3 to win a championship which the celts have in kg, pp, and ray allen.. but im just not sure if they'll even get past detroit. plus, its always great to see boston lose again in another sport. sorry b-rad. lets keep '08 rolling anti-beantown.

not sure if i posted this before but its pretty interesting if u havent tried it yet:

tuesday... means 2 for 1 at white castles!

nba regular season coming to a close. all spots are clinched but there are seeding impacts during the final two days. the race for mvp is still alive.. sort of. im sure kobe will win if the lakers clinch the #1 spot and cp3 will win if the hornets clinch. kobe has the edge right now. we'll see what haps.

lebron is a great player. he's gonna be considered one of the best to ever play the game. he's also gonna make a ton of money. too bad he has no characteristics of being a killer at the end of games.. and sometimes looks like he has no desire to be great. he seems like he's ok with just being the face of the nba and counting his cash... maybe giving a few high fives to jigga man when in the nyc area. lbj just doesnt seem to have "it". he seems more concerned about commercials and looking pretty. yea making money is often the bottomline.. but damn, with lbj's god given talent... he should end up being the best ever. i mean.. the dude is the size of dwight howard with a ton of more mobility. when's he gonna man up and WANT to win the game at the end. the following clip isnt exciting.. but i dont see why he doesnt raise up and bang it on 2 dudes like he does during the middle of the game.

i also didnt know the refs could review fouls after the buzzer sounded. thats kinda dumb.

how come baseball has no instant replay? is baseball that stubborn of a sport to not get with the times? the purists may get mad at instant replay?
instant replay in baseball would take like 10 seconds to review. most calls in baseball are so obvious in instant replay. it'd make a lot more sense to get the play called right and move forward with the times. imagine if there was instant replay for the jeffrey mayer home run? all the yankee haters would be so happy the umps over turn that play. oh well. baseball=stubborn. stubborn with their effort to clean up the steroid abuse 20 years ago.. and stubborn to quicken the game.. yaaawn.

vh1 miss rap supreme. love it.

michael beasley and derrick rose declared for the draft. they're probably gonna go #1 and #2 respectively. the college game is definitely not challenging for them. at the same time.. the nba game may be a bit overwhelming for them next year. these are 19 yr old kids.. ready to battle grown assss men? its gonna be a good thing for college and nba when the minimum becomes two years in college. i think it should be 21 yrs old.. but two years in college is good enough. the college and pro game will both benefit by holding kids back another year.

i cant wait for pacman jones to be reinstated to the nfl. the league needs pacman's enthusiasm for life and helping exotic dancers get rained on.

milla jovovich is true talent:
