march madness has started... even for the women. we may never see anything like this ever again. the women's utah bball team went undefeated in conference play this season.. 16-0. they lost in the quarterfinals to colorado state, who went 0-16 this season in conference play. anything is possible in college basketball this time of year.. it's sooo nuts. im pumped, someone spit in my mouth.
new look new york yankees: get tough. one big problem trying to switch from soft to tough: captain derek jeter. jeter is obviously a lover and not a fighter. his "number" of ladies is quite impressive. besides being the king of nyc, i give jeter a ton of credit and full responsibility of the yanks making those world series runs starting in the late 90's. remember that play in oakland when he flipped the off-line throw from right field to home in stride to tag out giambi at the plate? that was illmatic. that one play turned the yanks around from alvaro espinoza having poster nights at the stadium. ready for the bad jeter? him and arod standing next to each other while the yanks and mariners had a bench clearing brawl. two softies.. and now they're both the face of the yanks. i now understand why there is never any retaliation when the bosox hit jeter every series. its bc jeter is soft. joe torre was soft. i dont think the other players really wanna retaliate for soft players who wont get their back when ish hits the fan against them. know what i mean?

on weds, shelly duncan slid high cleats first into 2nd base that started a spring training brawl. i am pretty sure jeter wasnt about to throw down.
so when jeter gets hit, why should there be any retaliation when the captain is so passive. joe torre was a zen like passive puss too. jeter and arod both need to man up for the new girardi yanks.. otherwise, yanks may be the bosox btch for a few more years. that would be bad.

the houston rockets have won 20 games in a row. impressive. think they will miss yao in the playoffs tho. carl landry and chuck hayes are not gonna cut it as front court presence.
mexicans are ambitious and have a plan. work manual intensive labor filled jobs for a few years, and go back home with some loot in ur pocket. yea the work in the u.s. is often undesirable and demeaning, but they are working towards the end of that rainbow. its a goal, and i admire their work ethic and humbleness to achieve it.
some bubbles have burst for the ncaa tournament. mostly due to a few teams who've won their conference tournaments that shouldn't have. i hope the committee really doesn't plan on sending 3 teams from the wcc conference. that would be the worst thing to happen to this tournament since cwebb's timeout. i can't wait for the tournament this year for one reason only.. my boy 'sriracha sauce' was in N'Awlins for a bachelor party recently. the following is a true story with name and employer edits only to keep confidential:
"yeah...was pretty crazy times. good food....
this one kid was crazy, he works with "T" at a highly reputable bank of sorts...but he was nuts. i guess every bar there, at the door, they have these plastic cups, so you can walk around the streets w/ ur drinks as long as you pour it in there....so basically means, you are never not dirnking.....anyway's...one kid hooked up with some girl in the bathroom at a bar......some other kid brought some girl back at like 5am...then hooked up with her while sharing a room with these 2 other guys...kinda weird.....we almost saw a homeless man get eaten by a dog......another kid was supposed to fly out at 6am on sunday...but missed his flight, called up some girl he hooked up with, then stay until tuesday hooking up with that girl and her gf......
T's cousin who is 6'5" and pretty big....apparently got beatdown, but does not remember it at all...we saw him at breakfast on saturday morning and he had a fat lip...and a huge red mark on his neck like someone choked him to death.....we believe he was at a gentlemans club, was so drunk, he kept getting lap dances but wasnt paying for them....then the bouncers beat him down....but this is unconfirmed....
then...we almost got into a fight/arrested cuz some dude threw his drink at a passing car....the car stopped and out comes an off-duty cop and his friend......
