i've been told a couple of times that i can be pretty care-free and unemotional. yesterday at work, i got a call from one of my shipping people saying they need to leave work early bc his grandma passed away. my first reaction is.. ouch, sorry to hear that. and i genuinely meant that. but my next instinct is... why do u wanna go already, its only 9:30am, i really need u to stay.. she's dead, she aint going no where.. go check her out at 4pm. seriously, she's dead, nothing will change that. i know its wrong. maybe its bc i never really knew my grandparents and dont know the type of relationship one can form with their grandparents.. or maybe its bc im an insensitve prick about some things.
