how do u measure the greatness of an athlete? there are so many factors to consider. the era which they are playing in, # of championships, caliber of teammates, stats, etc.
people wanna argue who's the L's mvp.. kobe or lbj. people wanna argue where brett favre ranks amongst the best qb's in history. people wanna argue who's the better short stop wayne tolleson or rafael santana. its just too hard to compare fairly. just like john brown, i think everyone is their own entity.
if we go by championships, then eli manning is just as good as brett favre. if we go by teammates, well, even mj didnt win w/o scottie and vice versa. if we go by stats.. oscar robertson may be the best ever. he did avg a triple double for an entire season afterall.. no one has ever done that. go by era.. are u saying emmitt smith is better than jim brown?
put it to rest.. it is just not fair to compare the greatness of athletes. its just like comparing which is the best conference in college football or basketball. as colin cowherd intelligently put it.. there is no way to judge that. every conference is made up the same way.. a couple of elite teams, a couple of crappy teams, and a bunch of average teams.
